(Q) WHEN DO RIVER TRIPS LEAVE?
(A) Trips leave on the hour, every hour from
9am-2pm for rafts, and 9am-3pm for canoes and kayaks. Please show
up 15-20 minutes beforehand to sign up for trip.

(Q) WHAT SHOULD I WEAR WHEN RAFTING, KAYAKING, OR CANOEING DURING
MY SHAWNEE RIVER TRIP?
(A) Casual clothes are best suited for the river trips with footwear
that is waterproof or water resistent. Sun protection such as
sunglasses and sunlotion with UV protection is suggested due to
the water being highly reflective and possible risk of over exposure
to the elements.

(Q) WILL MY CAMERA AND PERSONAL BELONGINS BE SAFE IN THE BOAT
FROM GETTING WET?
(A) We will provide ziplock baggies for any personal belongings,
however all items in baggies are not guaranteed to be 100% waterproof
if fully submerged in the river.

(Q) DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE SHAWNEE INN TO TAKE A RIVER TRIP?
(A) No, you do not have to stay at the Inn to take a river trip.
Guests who are not staying at the Inn can take advantage of our
services at the Minisink base.

(Q) IF I STAY AT THE INN, CAN I BRING MY OWN BOAT ON TRIPS?
(A) Yes you can! Shawnee River Trips' staff transports you and
your boat to one of its four launch sites. Listed below are the
four launch sites, complete list of prices, distance from SRT,
and reservation requirements:
* Smithfield Beach-(4 miles)------$15 per boat and up to four
people
* Bushkill------------(8 miles)------$20 per boat and up to four
people
* Dingmans----------(30 miles)----$30 per boat and up to four
people
* Transportation reservations must be made with SRT at least three
full business days before planned trip, trip must launch at 8am
or 9am.
* Milford Beach----(34 miles)------$35 per boat and up to four
people
* Transportation reservations must be made with SRT at least 5
full business days before planned trip, trip must launch at 8am
or 9am.
(Boats must be United States Coast Guard Approved. Proof must
be in hand, and management will check all boat before leaving
SRT base.)

(Q) MAY I LAUNCH MY BOAT FROM SHAWNEE'S PROPERTY?
(A) The general public and timeshare guests are not allowed to
launch from Shawnee's property, nor are they allowed to dock at
the Inn's boat launch. Guests staying at the Inn need advanced
permission from the Recreation Director or General Manager to
launch and dock at the Inn's property. Please get permission to
use our launching facilities prior to arrival.

(Q) I LIVE LOCALLY AND AM FRIENDS OF SOMEONE WHO WORKS AT THE
INN, CAN I
USE THE BOAT LAUNCH?
(A) Sorry, but no. Permission must be obtained from the Recreation
Director or General Manager. With out this permission you will
be asked to the leave property. In the case that someone drifts
to Shawnee's launch, he or she will be asked to dock their boat
at another site.

(Q) WHAT IS SHAWNEE RIVER TRIPS' CHILDREN POLICY?
(A) * Children must be 42" tall or 40 lbs. to ride our canoes.
* Children must be 40 lbs. to ride in our rafts.
* A minimum height of 52" is required to RENT or RIDE our
kayaks.
* All children 17 years old or young must have a parent or guardian
sign for and accompany them on their river trip.
* Shawnee reserves the right to deny the rental of any boat or
restrict any one from partaking in the use of Shawnee's equipment.

(Q) MAY I USE MY OWN LIFE JACKET?
(A) Yes. We provide our guests with life jackets that are approved
by the United States Coast Guard. Guests may use a personally
owned life jacket, but it must also be United States Coast Guard
approved. We check to make sure that all life preservers comply
with their standards.

(Q) MAY I BRING ALCOHOL ON THE RIVER WITH ME?
(A) No. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited when launching from
the National Park. (All launches we provide are in the national
park.)

(Q) DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE SHAWNEE INN TO GO ON A GUIDED FISHING
TRIP?
(A) Although our guided fishing trips are open to the public,
we do offer value packed overnight fishing packages as well.

(Q) WHAT TYPE OF FISHING EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED ON GUIDED TRIPS?
(A) The following equipment is provided:
* Closed-faced/push-button casting tackle for children and novices
anglers.
* Medium to ultra-light spinning tackle for the intermediates
to expert anglers.
* Five - six wt fly tackle for the fly-fishing instructional novice
to expert anglers.

(Q) ARE THERE FISH-FOR-FREE DAYS IN PENNSYLVANIA?
(A) Yes, the two fish-for-free days in Pennsylvania are Saturday,
May 24 and Sunday June 1, 2008. No fishing license is needed to
fish on either of these days on the Delaware River or any other
public waters statewide. These days are great opportunities to
introduce someone to the world of fishing. Remember that all other
Pennsylvania fishing regulations still apply.

(A) Shawnee Fishing does not sell licenses on the resort premises.
Licenses need to be purchased in advance at one of the following
