Hours

We will be closed August 30-September 3, 2010 and reopen on Labor Day Week. Trips leave on the hour, every hour from 9am-2pm for rafts, 9am-3pm for canoes and kayaks. Please show up 15-20 minutes before to sign up for trip.

Open seven days a week during our peak fishing season, which runs from April 15th to approximately November 1st (weather permitting).

A VALID PENNSYLVANIA OR NEW JERSEY FISHING LICENSE is required when fishing on the Delaware River, whether from shoreline or a boat. A VALID TROUT STAMP is required when harvesting trout on the Delaware River or when fishing any other "trout-stocked" waters.

Delaware River Drift Boat Trip
Sit back and leave the paddling to us. Enjoy 3 miles of the Delaware River from Smithfield Beach to Shawnee Inn. Our drift boat accommodates 3 people in padded seats. Bring along your camera to take pictures of the beautiful scenery and foliage. The trip lasts about two hours. A minimum of 2 people is required for each trip. Space is limited and reservations are required. Prices are $90 for the first two people and an additional $40 for the third person.

Shawnee River Trips, known originally as the Delaware River Discovery Center, is on its second full season of outdoor adventures which include rentals of rafts, solo and tandem (2-person) kayaks, canoes, fishing equipment, and mountain bikes.

Also, the Delaware River offers top-notch fishing for a variety of fresh water species. A valid Pennsylvania or New Jersey fishing license is required. Fishing rods are available for rent.
